Membership Role

Selection criteria for members of this group include:

- core subject teaching experience
- sound teaching practices
- good collaboration and communication skills
- need not be technology savvy
- demonstrates a sense of Literacy with ICT in the classroom

The objectives of the committee are to:

- Extend the LwICT initiative
- Support teaching and assessment in all curricular areas
- Assist with suggestions/recommendations for allocation of resources
- Prioritize divisional needs through input from the schools
- Provide professional learning opportunities
- increase the awareness of using technology in the content of their curriculum
- Supporting ICT teachers/teachers with curricular content, partnership between content and tech.
- develop 21st century skills of collaboration, communication using distance delivery: Wiki, podcast, vid conference, blogs, and the need to have supportive resources to make it happen (microphones, headsets, video equipment, etc.)
- Promoting Just In Time learning PD for teachers to use what they need when they need it
- Share with 1or 2 colleagues and model
